With a deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment discrimination laws, she has successfully guided clients through multiple stages of their legal challenges, including informal negotiations, mediation, administrative complaints, and litigation. Her expertise in drafting persuasive legal documents has consistently helped secure favorable outcomes for her clients.
PASSION
Jamila is passionate about advancing social justice and equity, focusing particularly on the intersections of race, gender, and sexual orientation. Drawing from her personal experience as the daughter of immigrants, she has dedicated herself to advocating for marginalized communities. Whether she is providing pro bono asylum services to women and girls fleeing gender-based persecution, advising students during Title IX sexual discrimination hearings, or serving on the board of a nationally recognized LGBTQ rights organization, Jamila is committed to making her community a more equitable place for everyone.
